This Blog Is For People Of All Ages, Children To Seniors, Who Want To Learn The Very Basic Pc Skills.
Let Me Help You Set Up And Email Account To Stay In Touch With Friends And Business, Use Search Engines For Help With School Work, Or To Find Your Favorite Music And To Just Start Enjoying Your Computer.
Here Is A List Of Terms You Will Need To Know To Start:
A. DeskTop: The Page That Shows When You First Turn On Your PC
B. Icon: Small Symbols Which Represent Programs.
C. Internet Explorer. A Browser Which Allows You To Go On The Internet
D. Address Bar:A Blank Rectangle On The Top Of The Page.
E. Username: a name you decide on that will be your personal email account log in name.
F. Password: a password that will allow only you to sign into your account.

1. First We Will Assume That You Have A Pc And Not A Mac.
All Pcs Come Preloaded With Microsoft Internet Explorer. The Icon Will Appear With A Blue Big E. First Click On The E, a page will appear (otherwise known as "load")
Look for the long blank rectangle at the top of the page. The top of the page is known as your "ToolBar." The long blank space is your address bar.
2. Next, type hotmail.com in the address bar. you will be directed to the hotmail sign up page.
3. Look for the words "Sign Up" and left click your mouse.
4. Now would be a good time to decide what you would like your username to be. usernames must always be (something of your choice)@hotmail.com. No spaces. Dashes, dots letters and numbers may all be used.
5. Type your chosen username into the empty box and click on "Check Availability" This will let you know if someone else already has that username. If so, pick another name or add a number to it until it is accepted.
6. Next, choose a password. Keep in mind it will be case sensitive. If you type a capital B, for instance, then it must always be typed that same way.It must have at least six letters, numbers or a combination of both. It is not recommended that you use something such as a birthday that would be too easy for someone else to figure out. Retype the password as instructed on page; this will allow to check for errors.
7.They will ask for an alternate email address or password question. Type your question in this bar, such as the name of your first pet or where you were born. A space will appear for your answer. This will help you atreve your password should you forget it.
8. Continue to fill in the rest of the personal questions by clicking into each space and typing your answer.
9. It will then ask you to type the characters that you see. At times it is difficult to read these as they are scrambled. Don't worry, if you do not get it right the first time, they will just give you another set of characters. Type them in and click.
10. read the agreement and click on accept at bottom of page.
11. Your email page should appear with your username shown. You have just set up your own email account.
